Technology: Daxxify uses innovative peptide stabilization (PEP) instead of human or animal-derived proteins, which is how the active ingredient stays effective longer. Practical impact: you need only 2 treatments per year instead of 3–4, saving time, money, and appointment hassle over the long term.

Clinical studies showed that 50% of patients reached 6 months, 28% reached up to 9 months, and nearly all patients had at least 4 months of results. Your individual duration depends on factors like metabolism, muscle strength, dosage, and treatment area. Most patients can confidently plan for 6+ months before their next appointment. Results fade gradually — there's no abrupt "wearing off" moment.

Daxxify injections feel similar to any other neuromodulator — brief pinches lasting just seconds. The formula contains lidocaine for added comfort, and we use ultra-fine needles with advanced technique to minimize discomfort. Most patients find the treatment very tolerable without any numbing. Ice is available if desired. The brief discomfort is well worth 6–9 months of smooth results.

You'll notice initial smoothing within 2–3 days — faster than Botox's typical 3–7 day onset. Significant improvement is visible within one week, with full results at 2 weeks. The fast onset combined with extended duration is one of Daxxify's strongest advantages for patients who want results and convenience.

Absolutely — and many patients do exactly this because they're tired of treatments every 3–4 months. We recommend waiting until your current neuromodulator has worn off completely before transitioning. We often suggest starting with frown lines to experience Daxxify's duration, then expanding to additional areas at your next appointment if satisfied. Follow standard neuromodulator aftercare for 24 hours: don't lie flat for 4 hours after injection, avoid rubbing or massaging treated areas, skip strenuous exercise, avoid excessive heat (saunas, hot yoga, hot tubs), limit alcohol, and avoid facial treatments or massages. You can return to most normal activities immediately. We provide comprehensive written aftercare instructions at your appointment.

Yes. Daxxify received FDA approval in September 2022 for treatment of moderate to severe glabellar (frown) lines — the first new neuromodulator approved in over a decade. Its safety profile was demonstrated in clinical trials involving over 2,700 patients. Side effects are similar to other neuromodulators: the most common is headache, with injection site reactions (redness, swelling, bruising) possible but typically mild and resolving within days. Eyelid drooping is rare and temporary.

Daxxify uses a different stabilization technology — peptide-based rather than protein-based — so it may work differently in your body. Some patients who developed a reduced response to other neuromodulators have found success with Daxxify. However, if you have true antibody resistance to botulinum toxin itself, Daxxify may not be effective. No. Like all neuromodulators, Daxxify is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. While there is no evidence of harm, adequate safety studies have not been conducted in pregnant or nursing individuals. We recommend waiting until after you have finished breastfeeding to resume injectable treatments.
