Lip Flip vs. Lip Filler: Key Differences
What are lip fillers made of?
Most lip fillers are made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance in your body that helps retain moisture and add volume. HA fillers are popular because they’re safe, reversible, and deliver soft, natural-looking results.
How long do lip fillers last?
Results typically last 6 to 12 months, depending on the product used, your metabolism, and how much filler is injected. Some clients opt for a touch-up around the 6-month mark to maintain their perfect pout.
Will it look natural or overdone?
That depends on your injector’s skill—and at our medspa, natural is the name of the game. Whether you want subtle volume or a more defined shape, we work with your features to enhance, not overpower.
Does getting lip filler hurt?
You might feel a pinch or pressure, but it’s very tolerable. We use numbing cream (and some fillers have lidocaine built in), so most clients describe it as “weird but not painful.” If you’re nervous, let us know—we’ve got tricks to keep you comfy.
How much downtime is there?
Very minimal. You may have some swelling, tenderness, or mild bruising for a few days. Most people return to work or normal activities the same day. Just skip intense workouts and kissing marathons for 24–48 hours.
Can I choose how full I want my lips?
Absolutely. During your consultation, we’ll talk about your lip goals—whether that’s soft hydration, definition, or full-on volume. We can start subtle and build over time if you prefer a more gradual enhancement.
Are lip fillers safe?
When performed by trained professionals using FDA-approved products, yes—lip fillers are considered very safe. We prioritize your safety, comfort, and aesthetic outcome with every injection.
What if I don’t like the results?
Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. While that’s rarely needed, it’s reassuring to know you have options. We’re committed to getting your lips just right.
