Dysport, for lines that soften, not disappear
An FDA-approved neuromodulator that relaxes the muscles behind frown lines and forehead lines. You'll start to notice less movement within days, with the full result at about two weeks.
Smoother, and still expressive
Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA) is an FDA-approved neuromodulator for moderate to severe frown lines between the brows. It temporarily reduces the nerve signal that tells a muscle to contract, so the skin over it creases less.
Many people notice Dysport working a little sooner than Botox, and it tends to spread slightly more from each injection point. That can make it a good fit for broad, flat areas like the forehead.
At New Age, Dysport is injected by a nurse practitioner, either me or Brie. The goal is softer lines and a rested look, not a face that can't move.
Less movement first, full results at two weeks
Dysport doesn't work the moment you leave. The muscle quiets gradually, so it helps to know what each stage looks like, especially if you're timing it around an event.
You may see small bumps at the injection points for 15 to 30 minutes. No visible change yet. Back to your day right away.
You start to notice less movement. Frowning or raising your brows takes more effort. Lines at rest haven't fully softened yet.
Most of the change is in. Lines look noticeably softer. One side can catch up a day or two after the other, which is normal.
This is your full result. We check symmetry and movement at your two-week follow-up and adjust if needed.
Movement returns gradually, not all at once. Most people rebook when they notice lines forming again.
Timelines are typical ranges, not guarantees. Dose, muscle strength, metabolism, and treatment area all affect how quickly Dysport works and how long it lasts.

What to expect, start to finish
The injections take a few minutes. Your first visit runs longer because we start with a real conversation.
We assess your anatomy and movement, talk through your goals and history, and decide together whether Dysport is the right product for you.
The area is cleansed and marked. Most people don't need numbing, but ice is available if you'd like it.
A fine needle and a few precise injection points. Most people describe a quick pinch.
At full effect, we check symmetry and movement and note what to adjust so your next treatment is more precise.
Where Dysport is used
Dysport is FDA approved for frown lines between the brows. Other areas below are common off-label uses, and we'll tell you at your consultation which ones make sense for you.
Dysport vs. Botox vs. Daxxify
We offer all three. None is better for everyone, and the right one depends on your anatomy, your history, and how long you want results to last.
| Dysport | Botox | Daxxify | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Less movement begins | 2–5 days | 3–7 days | Often within a few days |
| Full result | About 2 weeks | About 2 weeks | About 2 weeks |
| Typical duration | 3–4 months | 3–4 months | About 6 months median in trials |
| Spread | Spreads slightly more; suits broad areas | More localized | Comparable to Botox |
| Price per unit | $14 | $14 | $13 |
| Often chosen for | Forehead, quicker onset | Precise placement, longest track record | Results that fade too fast |
Units aren't interchangeable between products. Dysport is dosed on a different scale than Botox or Daxxify, so compare treatment plans, not unit counts. Daxxify duration reflects published clinical trial results for frown lines.

Two nurse practitioners, one standard
You can book Dysport with either of us. Same consultation, same conservative approach, same two-week follow-up.
Natasha founded New Age after years in trauma and cardiac ICU nursing. She focuses on natural-looking results and will tell you plainly when a treatment isn't the right answer. Meet Natasha.
Brie came to aesthetics from acute care, the same clinical road Natasha took. She's conservative, takes her time on consultations, and would rather you come back for a touch-up than walk out overdone.
What people ask about Dysport
When will I see results from Dysport?
Most people start to notice less movement 2 to 5 days after treatment. Lines keep softening through the first week, and the full result shows at about two weeks. That's when we see you for your follow-up. If you're planning around an event, book at least two weeks ahead.
How long does Dysport last?
Typically 3 to 4 months. Movement comes back gradually, so most people rebook when they notice lines starting to form again. If your results fade faster than you'd like, ask about Daxxify, which lasted about six months at the median in its trials for frown lines.
Who injects Dysport at New Age Medspa?
A nurse practitioner, every time: Natasha Sherrill, FNP-C, or Brie Freckleton, AGACNP. Both came to aesthetics from critical and acute care, and you can book with either of us.
Is Dysport better than Botox?
Neither is better for everyone. Many people notice Dysport working a little sooner, and it tends to spread slightly more, which can suit the forehead. Botox has the longest track record and stays more localized. Both typically last 3 to 4 months. We'll recommend one at your consultation and explain why.
Does Dysport hurt?
Most people describe a quick pinch at each injection point. The injections take a few minutes, and ice is available if you'd like it. There's no downtime.
What should I avoid after Dysport?
For the rest of the day: don't lie flat for 4 hours, don't rub or massage the treated area, skip strenuous exercise, and avoid saunas, hot tubs, and hot yoga. You'll get written aftercare instructions before you leave.
Can I earn rewards points on Dysport?
Yes. Dysport earns points through ASPIRE Galderma Rewards, Galderma's free rewards program. Sign up before your visit and give the front desk the email or phone number you used, so your points are applied at checkout.
How many units of Dysport will I need?
It depends on your muscle strength, the areas treated, and how much movement you want to keep. Dysport is dosed on a different scale than Botox, so a Dysport unit count isn't comparable to a Botox unit count. Your injector will give you a specific plan and total at your consultation. Our virtual consult tool is a good place to start.
