Vitamin & Wellness Shots
Intramuscular injections that skip the digestive system entirely — putting nutrients directly where your body can use them, at close to 100% absorption.
Most supplements don't survive the trip.
When you swallow a B12 capsule or a Vitamin D softgel, your digestive system absorbs somewhere between 20 and 30 percent of it — on a good day. B12 specifically requires a protein called intrinsic factor to absorb in the small intestine. If you're older, on a PPI, or have any GI issue that affects intrinsic factor, your oral B12 may be doing close to nothing.
Intramuscular injections bypass that entirely. The nutrient goes into the muscle and absorbs directly into circulation — no gut competition, no first-pass breakdown. Glutathione, in particular, is nearly useless in oral form because the gut dismantles it before it can circulate intact. IM is one of the only delivery routes that actually works at therapeutic levels.
"I spent years running IM injections in trauma and cardiac ICU. The bioavailability argument isn't controversial — it's just pharmacology. What I wanted to make sure of here is that we're doing it right."

Who benefits most from vitamin shots?
These aren't boutique wellness trends. They address real nutrient gaps that are especially common in Alaska.
Low energy or brain fog
B12 and NAD+ are the most common starting points for clients dealing with persistent fatigue or cognitive dullness.
Plant-forward diet
B12 deficiency is near-universal in vegan and vegetarian diets. Oral B12 often isn't enough — IM bypasses the absorption problem entirely.
Dark-season Alaskans
Vitamin D deficiency is extremely common here. Long winters, low sun exposure, and indoor living all contribute — IM D3 is an efficient corrective.
Skin-focused clients
Glutathione pairs exceptionally well with LaseMD Ultra and RF Microneedling — supporting antioxidant defense during skin recovery and enhancing brightness over time.
Weight management support
Lipo-Mino supports fat metabolism and liver function — most effective when used alongside healthy nutrition and movement, not instead of it.
Longevity-minded clients
NAD+ is increasingly popular among clients focused on cellular health, energy production, and aging well. The research is promising and growing.

Founder & Owner · New Age Medspa Anchorage
Before opening New Age Medspa, I spent years in trauma and cardiac ICU nursing in Anchorage — where IM and IV administration was daily practice. I'm not new to injections, and I'm not cavalier about them either. The wellness shots we offer here are ones I vetted carefully: sourced from licensed compounding pharmacies, dosed appropriately, and offered in a clinical setting where I can actually address your questions. If you're uncertain about a shot, bring your questions. I'd rather you ask than wonder.
Pair shots with these treatments
Vitamin shots pair naturally with virtually every treatment we offer. Here are the most common combinations our clients book together.
